The first steps for those arriving in Germany

Where should I go?

You can register in all cities of Germany. Due to the large number of visitors to major cities (especially Berlin, Hamburg, Munich), we recommend that you travel to other cities or regions. It is possible to find housing across the country. There are also guides at Frankfurt, Oder, Cottbus and Hanover stations to help you find accommodation in Germany.

How to get to your destination?

All journeys on every train in Germany are free for you. By commuter train you can get directly to the desired destination - no ticket required. If you wish to continue your long-distance train journey (ICE, TGV, RJX, IC / EC), you can obtain a free helpukraine ticket from the DB Reisezentrum.

Are you leaving Ukraine and looking for housing? On our site you will find all the necessary information. In addition to temporary housing provided by the state, you can find other housing for a certain period of time. The border service will direct you directly to the state refugee shelter. There you will get a place to stay, food and further assistance until you find housing for a longer time. There are also many private individuals who report their willingness to help with accommodation and housing, namely at www.unterkunft-ukraine.de and airbnb.org.
